About Trinity's Student Ministry PDF Print

TSM (Our Purpose)

TSM is short for Trinity Student Ministries.  TSM consists of everything we do at Trinity Church of the Nazarene for students between 7th grade and College.  TSM is committed to helping teens experience all that God has for them!  TSM is a place where teens can feel accepted and are encouraged to live life to the fullest.

TSM is a ministry that will:
  • Help you to know God in a real and personal way.
  • Help you build lasting relationships with other teens your age.
  • Give you opportunities to reach out to others and be involved in ministry.
  • Give you a place to have fun with other teenagers in a safe way.
TSM is a ministry that does NOT:
  • Encourage teens to act like they are perfect.
  • Talk just about ‘surface’ issues.
  • Encourage you to be comfortable.

Matt Hancock (Our Pastor)

Pastor Matthew Hancock and FamilyMatt and Cara Hancock, along with their two children, have been with us since September of 2007.  Matt and Cara graduated from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University in 2002 and went straight into full time youth ministry in Atlanta, GA where they served for 5 years.

Matt and Cara have two wonderful children, Sydney and Carter, who keep them pretty busy.  Matt enjoys music, basketball, and golf while Cara enjoys music, shopping, and being a mom!

Matt loves teens and has a passion to see teenagers experience the amazing adventure of following Christ.  Cara also has a passion to help teen girls get through the struggles facing them in our world today.

The 'Refuge' (Our Space)

The ‘Refuge’ is our building that is just for TSM!  It might not be perfect, but it is ours and we love it (sort of like your bedroom!). The ‘Refuge’ has 2 large meeting areas.  Our first meeting area is full of games and we have a lot of fun in there (42’ LCD TV’s with XBOX 360 & PS3, a pool table, carpet-ball, foosball, ping-pong, etc).  The other meeting room is for our services, which has a stage that hosts a full band, 2 Big-Screen TVs, and many other cool ‘tech’ toys!  The most important about the 'Refuge' is that it is a place where we can relax, hangout, and worship in our own style.
